Serving the top players in North East PA
The Perugia program (Or the Grifos) is for the “ELITE, PREMIER” player who wishes to experience the most competitive arena for youth soccer. Grifo teams usually attract players from throughout Northeast PA and Western New Jersey. Teams practice three to four times per week, depending on age, and play matches against some of the best clubs in our region. Dedication and commitment are essential to being accepted into this program. Current Grifos aspire to play soccer in college and beyond, and our proven track record has helped so many of these players achieve those goals (see Alumni). The organization does not just field teams and place the “Elite or Premier” word next to them. No team is formed until our seasoned professional staff have formed opinions about the candidates ability to go to the next level.
Playing at the next level is about the league and the competition you are able to compete in, true premier teams compete at the Regional and or National levels, Keystone Athletic is one of only a few organizations throughout the United States and Canada that have been awarded a United Soccer Leagues (USL) Super Y program. A Super Y charter is one of the top honors a youth soccer club can receive, with only three other organizations in Northeast PA that share in this distinction. Players who are chosen for the Grifo program are really tested among the best players in the country. As with our other programs, the Grifos have an open-door tryout policy.
All interested candidates will be evaluated in high-quality training environment where they should feel comfortable to express his or her talents in a maximum capacity.
